Role of the Regional Employment Board
The REB provides structure in a labor market where there is no formal system
for the exchange of information about the labor market itself or for developing effective strategies to address labor market problems. The labor market
contains a maze of agencies and organizations difficult for its customers— business, industry, organized labor, workers, and the unemployed—to negotiate.
Project-Based Organizational Model

To meet those challenges, the REB has built an organization that can respond rapidly to changes in the labor market and the needs of employers.
It has discarded the traditional hierarchical model in favor of a project-based model.
