“I am starting my 3rd week at Prentice Hall.

 

So far I've been analyzing PH's middle grades science textbook against the competitors'. It's definitely allowed me to appreciate how much work goes into making a textbook, and how difficult it is to meet the needs of a wide range of teachers and a wide range of students.

 

Today, I got to test out a lab in the book on earthquakes and make suggestions on how it could be modified.

 

I'm also going to become involved in the implementation of inquiry labs into the new 2008 textbooks.”
