Today, young people need more to succeed...
More than a high school diploma...
More than a part-time job at a fast-food restaurant.
They need information about career options and real-world work experience and technical and personal skills that show they
belong in the 21st Century workplace.
Employers are demanding these skills, and the Young Adult Employment Initiative
provides programs and services to help young people meet those demands.
Career exploration and hands-on exposure to jobs are available in key industries: Healthcare, Technology, Financial Services, the
Building Trades and Homeland Security.
Community-Based Partnerships help build the 21st Century workforce by bringing together schools, businesses and community leaders
to support young adults with pre-employment services, internships and paid jobs.
