YAEI Programs

YAEI programs work closely with industry to define career exploration and work opportunities. In recognition of the labor market needs of the immediate future, programs have specific information and resources to help young people engage with jobs in healthcare, technology (including science, computer technology, engineering and math), financial services, the building trades, and homeland security.

 

Connecting Activities  

Career Specialists in twelve local high schools provide students with:  

Career exploration exposing students to career options and opportunities
Pre-employment skills such as writing a resume and interviewing skills
Placement in internships or jobs with wages
Work-Based Learning Plan connecting work and school expectations

Pathways to Success by 21 (P-21)

Coordinates youth services throughout the region and facilitates the transition from educational institutions and other community services with partnerships that focus on young adult employment issues.

P-21 partnerships are in Marlborough, Dedham, Framingham, Bellingham, Franklin
